I have 4 years of experience as a Kindergarten teacher. After meeting a handicapped-children there, I have started the path to nursing. After receiving nursing qualification, I was working as an obstetric nurse-work at Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Since hospitals tend to put more priority in labor, in my opinion, mothers in pain with sore breasts are not fully treated. To support the mothers, I have started training to acquire the "Oketani Method", which is the painless breast massage. After 1 year of training, I’ve started practicing as certified Oketani personnel since 2001. From 2012 to 2019, I have moved to Canada and continued mothers' support as a teacher of Daycare and Oketani personnel in Toronto. And now, I came back to Japan and again started home-visit mothers' support with Oketani method in Tokyo.
